About the Game

Pumpkin Face : A Halloween Visual Novel

Pumpkin Face is a Halloween-themed narrative-driven game, featuring a cast of charming characters and inventive dialogue, a beautiful traditional artstyle and a rich, endearing soundtrack. The player follows the journey of a high-schooler whose head inexplicably transformed into a pumpkin overnight. They must attempt to figure the situation out while dealing with their friends, bullies and over-enthusiastic teacher. Pumpkin Face's general mood is wholesome and lighthearted, but the game sets to provide unsettling story beats that lean on the spookier side.

Unlike a "pure" Visual Novel, Pumpkin Face periodically presents the player with gameplay and immersive interactions. In Chapter 1, this takes the form of short, quirky minigames and a "choose your own path" maze escape sequence.

About the Developer

Pumpkin Face is developed by Leaflet, a European game dev, writer and composer involved in projects such as "An Outcry" and "There Swings a Skull". This is Leaflet's first "serious" game after a year of short, conceptual projects. Pumpkin Face's art is created by Mibyle, a French disabled artist.
